Let's find out how to open back cover your Samsung mobile phone. No mobile phone is complete without a SIM card. This is a small chip that provides us with cellular services. In some Samsung models, you need to remove the panel to access the cell where the chip is inserted. And also Micro-SD - flash drive for mobile device. Or get to motherboard for repair.
How to remove the cover on the Samsung J5 phone
Recently, developers mobile phones different brands began to create cases in which the back cover is simply missing. In fact, it is, but it is not possible for ordinary users to open it without special tools. So, for example, two components of the Samsung J5 case are glued together. And in order to glue them, the case must be heated at a temperature of 100 degrees. This will require hot air gun.
Warming up the case with a hot air gun
Before opening the case, be sure to remove the cells for the SIM card and flash drive.
The muzzle of the hot air gun must be aimed at the back of the Samsung and its seams. Then you need to arm yourself with a plastic card or a plastic scalpel to pry off the front screen module.
Use a plastic card to pry up the body seams
The cover is not a thin plastic sheet, as in classic smartphones, but rather a recess in the form of a bath. Work along the seam of the phone with a card should be very careful. Don't run it too deep. 0.5 cm is enough. Be careful not to damage important phone modules.
Use a plastic card to open the Samsung case
When the lid gives way, do not rush to open the case completely, do it with caution. After all, both parts exchange information using a wide cable that connects the screen module and the Samsung motherboard.
Screen module cable in Samsung
To disconnect the cable, you need to open the fastening cover and remove the cable from the socket. Everything is quite simple. The main thing is not to rush and be careful.
How to open the back panel on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
Let's take an example of how to open removable rear covers on the Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone specialists. It is much easier to do this when there is special equipment for this at hand. It resembles a regular vise equipped with a large suction cup.
Samsung Smartphone Lid Opener
It serves as a tool for holding the back of the case. With this equipment, you do not need a hot air gun. Since it refers to methods that have a certain amount of risk of breaking Samsung with high temperature.
Procedure:
- In the middle is a niche for the phone. A body is placed between two rubber vise holders;
- The lid of the device closes and the suction cup is activated. It is attached to the back cover of the Samsung smartphone. Joints must be moistened with alcohol or an alcohol-containing solution;
Attaching the Suction Cup to the Back Cover of a Samsung Smartphone
- The pressure regulator, which is located on the right, comes into play. When it is twisted, the smartphone body is held by a rubber vise, and the suction cup “pulls” up;
Pressure regulator in fixture
- The regulator is twisted by hand, but does not tighten tightly, since we are dealing with a fragile material. Tighten the regulator more every few minutes.
Samsung smartphone open case
In the end, the glue between the parts of the case gives in and the device is disassembled into two main parts - the back cover and mobile module Samsung phone . When the cover comes off the module, you do not need to immediately open the fixture. It is necessary to remove the suction cup from the body, after which you can open the machine.
Removing the cover with improvised tools on the Samsung Galaxy S9
More popular model Samsung Galaxy S9 practically does not differ in the process of parsing the case from other models. Here, too, the two constituent parts are glued together, as Samsung engineers decided. But we will consider the manual disassembly of the device, without any special tools. We will use improvised means that are in every home. For example, instead of a hot air gun, you can use a regular hair dryer to dry your hair. But use it to its fullest. Direct the flow of hot air exclusively to the joints of the case.
It is necessary to heat the glued joints with a hair dryer for several minutes. A suction cup is also needed to safely remove the back cover.
Samsung Lid Opener Tools
It can be purchased at any children's store. The priority is suction cups of large sizes - the more the back cover area is covered, the stronger the suction cup will hold it. We will also need guitar picks ( plastic plates in the shape of a triangle) or plastic cards. Use two to support the already exposed parts of the hull.
Procedure:
Samsung in the new generation Galaxy smartphones S6 has completely revised the concept of a phone device. They made smartphones look like iPhone both outside and inside. Therefore, it will be especially interesting to know how to disassemble samsung galaxy S6 Edge that breaks as easily as the iPhone 6. In the process of disassembly, you can learn how to replace the back glass and display of the Samsung Galaxy S6. Samsung wouldn't be an Asian firm if it made a smartphone without glue. The first thing you have to prepare for is a copious amount of glue in the structure. To remove the back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, you need to warm it up around the perimeter, then squeeze the edge with a suction cup or slip a pick and walk along the entire device.
The back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is purely decorative. Hidden underneath are screws that make the frame, display, and motherboard into a single unit. Therefore, remove the cover to the side and continue to disassemble the smartphone with a screwdriver.
The display panel and aluminum frame of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge are held together with 13 screws, which are removed with a Phillips screwdriver. When the screws are removed, the display can be picked up with a spatula and removed from the slots in the frame. The smartphone will decompose into two halves. Aluminum frame - strength frame and antenna at the same time.
Samsung has once again made a device in which the main elements are attached to the display module, and not to the supporting aluminum frame. Such a strange approach, time will tell how justified it is, how it affects the survivability of the Galaxy S6 Edge. Next, you should remove the motherboard by disconnecting the two coaxial conductors of the antennas.
Under motherboard the battery connector is hidden. To Edge, you will need to completely disassemble the smartphone and remove the motherboard. Miracles in the sieve. The battery tends to become obsolete during operation, while the flagship model on the market will be relevant. In a year or two, owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 will face a headache and the high cost of a typical repair.
Samsung made their version of Touch ID, which, unlike the iPhone, is replaceable, a good sign.
The curved glass of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is separated from the display by heat. After the fall of the Edge, the curved display will be real, if the latter is not damaged.
Hello dear readers. Today, together with you, we will learn how to disassemble the Samsung Galaxy S6 on our own, without the help of a specialist. Since this model Korean smartphone does not have a rear removable cover, at first glance it may seem that it is not so easy to disassemble it. However, with us you can do everything!
It is important to understand that the initiative to disassemble the Samsung S6 deprives you of warranty service. Therefore, before disassembling it, weigh the pros and cons.
So, get ready for the fact that when you remove the back panel, you will see a copious amount of glue around its edges, this is one of the hallmarks of Korean manufacturers. By the way, since disassembling a Samsung Galaxy S6 is no different from disassembling a regular Galaxy S6, we will demonstrate the entire process on it.
Most often, the Samsung S6 needs to be disassembled to change the battery, due to its problematic availability. To do this, you need to use plastic tools so as not to damage the insides of the Galaxy S6, a common example is an ordinary plastic card.
Experienced craftsmen have in their arsenal different chips for dismantling smarts, we recommend prying off the back cover with the same credit card. It will be easier for you to give in to the cover if you preheat the phone with a stream of warm air from its side, so the glue will melt a little.
First step
This very white film around the edges is the glue, as they said, there is plenty of it here.
Second step
Smoothly, without sudden movements, remove the back panel.
Third step
The S6 Edge's screen and metal body sit well on small screws that need to be removed with a small Phillips screwdriver. Then, when there are no screws left that hold the screen, it can be removed from the case.
Fourth step
As we can see, the motherboard is not attached to the body of the Galaxy S6, but to its screen. Therefore, we remove it only after disconnecting the antenna wires.
Fifth step
It is now possible to remove the Galaxy S6 battery when the l-shaped board has already been removed, and we have free access to the battery.
sixth step
Now we can remove the fingerprint scanner.
seventh step
Now you can remove the glass from the smart screen, but before that it is also desirable to warm it up with a hairdryer.
In this article, we will tell you how to disassemble Samsung Galaxy S6. New smartphone made in a case with a non-removable battery, so this operation will not be so simple.
We note right away that if you decide to disassemble the Samsung Galaxy S6 yourself, then you automatically lose the warranty. Also, you need to prepare for the fact that there is a lot of glue inside the smartphone, and in some instances, especially a lot. This approach to assembly, unfortunately, is quite traditional for Asian manufacturers.
We also note that disassembling the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is no different from disassembling a regular Galaxy S6, so further we will consider the disassembly process using its example.
What may require disassembly of the Samsung Galaxy S6? For example, for self-replacement of the battery, which is now non-removable.
Removing the back cover is quite easy, for this you need to pry it off the edges with a screwdriver or, much better, with a plastic pick, and walk along the perimeter of the cover. Some recommend preheating the back cover or removing it with a special suction cup.
As we can see, there is a lot of glue here.
Carefully remove the lid completely.
The display and the metal frame of the Samsung Galaxy S6 are connected using 13 screws, which are unscrewed with a thin Phillips screwdriver (thanks for not a hex or some other perversion). Once the screws have been removed, the screen can be carefully lifted out of the slots in the frame.
And now the most interesting. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has the board attached to the display, not the frame. Which creates, for example, when removing the battery, additional difficulties. The motherboard is removed after disconnecting the antenna wiring.
And now you can remove the battery (!). Why not at the beginning is a proprietary mystery from Samsung.
Now you can shoot Touch ID.
And now you can detach the glass from the display. In a number of sources, it is again recommended to preheat it.
Max Lubin
In the comments to many previous articles about smartphone repair, you asked the question of how to disassemble waterproof Samsung smartphones Galaxy S series to replace the back cover, and how difficult it is. Today I will try to describe this process in detail, indicating the nuances and possible pitfalls that may arise during the parsing process.
Given the abundance of glass in the design of modern phones, the most common reason for parsing is not the need to repair electronics, but the banal replacement of the back cover, which often breaks when the phone falls.
Looking ahead, I can reassure Galaxy S7/8/9 owners that even with a broken back cover and a broken protective glass of the display, your phone most likely retained water resistance due to the presence of a laminating film on the inside of the glass. This is clearly visible after removing this very cover. The film is surprisingly strong, and even shards of broken glass can rarely damage this film. This is a very big advantage of Samsung phones.
If, despite this, a replacement of the back cover is required, a new one must be selected. Therefore, we will not start with the analysis itself, but with the choice of the back cover, which can be of very different quality, ranging from very inexpensive plastic ones to very expensive 100% original ones.
The easiest way to buy an original cover is to find an ad on Avito or Yulia selling the model you need for analysis. In this case, you will receive, though used, but the original cover, the quality of which will be significantly better than analogues. How much it might cost is hard to say. It depends on the appetite of the seller. Approximately for such a cover they ask from 500 to 1,000 rubles.
Another option is to order on Internet sites such as AliExpress or eBay. In the first case, you will most likely get an analogue, the quality of which can vary from excellent to terrible. In the case of eBay, it is better to look at the listings of sellers located in the United States, but then you will have to use the services of an intermediary, which will increase the cost of the purchase. On average, it will turn out to meet 1,000-1,500 rubles.
You can buy a spare part in the "store around the corner" for 300-500 rubles. The advantage of such a purchase is the ability to evaluate the quality and appearance before giving money. The downside is that, most likely, it will turn out to be the same Chinese spare part.
There is another, most uneconomical option - buying the original from official service centers (if sold). The cost of such pleasure can reach up to 3,500-4,500 rubles. If you are a perfectionist, then this is your option.
After we bought the spare part, it's time to start disassembling our patient.
Of the tools we need:
- Plastic connectors. Guitar picks or even thick plastic packaging from something are perfect for this role.
- Sucker. It is highly desirable to have it for these purposes. Suitable and ordinary, plumbing
- wide tape
- Medical or isopropyl alcohol. A syringe or jar with a spout as a container. It is more convenient for me to use a jar of hydrogen peroxide, since it is easier to control the dose with it 🙂
- Ordinary household hair dryer as a heating tool. By the way, instead of a hair dryer, you can use a canvas bag filled with salt, preheated in a pan to 90 degrees. This option is preferable to a hair dryer, as it will allow you to warm up the smartphone better and more evenly, which means that the adhesive tape holding the lid will be more softened.
- Construction gloves to protect hands from burns (the phone will be hot).
After everything is ready, it's time to get started.
Turn off your phone and get started.
First you need to roll up the broken back cover in adhesive tape. This is necessary so that when parsing glass fragments do not remain on the fingers and do not fly into the eyes.
If you disassemble the phone not to replace the cover and at the time of disassembly the cover is intact, then you need to glue it anyway - it’s not a fact that you can open the phone without splitting the cover.
Please note that it is necessary to seal the cover with adhesive tape as carefully as possible, preferably without bubbles, and most importantly, without jams and joints. Otherwise, the suction cup will not stick to the cover, and it will become more difficult to open the phone.
Then we heat the phone with a hairdryer or a bag of heated salt.
When the phone is warm (so that it is difficult to touch it with a bare hand), we glue the suction cup closer to one of the lower corners.
Then we drip alcohol into the junction of the lid and the body and begin to pull the lid by the suction cup, at the same time trying to insert a mediator or a plastic strip into the gap between the body and the lid.
If you are opening a whole lid, be very careful at this stage not to try to push the pick too far in, as the tension is too high and the lid can easily burst.
Never use a metal tool for these purposes, otherwise you will almost certainly crack the lid.
The most important thing is to achieve the appearance of a small gap between the cover and the body. This may require several approaches of warming up, dripping alcohol, and pulling back the lid by the suction cup. If the cover is already broken and the purpose of the disassembly is to replace it, then you don’t have to worry too much - pull harder and try to stick the pick inside.
Alcohol in this case is needed to make the tape easier to peel off the surfaces. Also, the alcohol will prevent the tape from seizing back. Do not pour too much, but do not worry too much - alcohol will not harm the insides of the phone. The optimal dose is three / five large drops per joint.
After the lid opens slightly, we continue to drip alcohol into the joint and go around the entire perimeter, peeling off the adhesive tape. Take your time and do not forget to heat the lid where you peel it off.
An important nuance - do not stick the connector deep inside in the middle of the right side. There, the outer coils of the wireless charging coil run very close to the edge, and there is a danger of damaging them.
Please note that in addition to the adhesive tape around the perimeter, sticky white seals are glued inside the lid, which must be saved. After the old cover is removed, you need to carefully re-glue the seals either on the new cover or on the inside of the phone in the same position as on the old cover. This will avoid sagging of the new cover and make the structure more assembled and dense.
Then it is necessary to peel off the block of protective glasses of the camera and sensors from the old cover.
The glasses are in an aluminum frame, which bends very easily, so before peeling it off, warm it up well and remove it carefully. This frame is glued on a ring of adhesive tape on a dense basis.
Peel off best with a flat, thin tool. I am using a blade.
Once you've got your new cover ready for installation, it's time to clean it up. Namely, to clean the perimeter of the metal frame from the remnants of adhesive tape, on which you will glue the new cover. Cotton swabs and alcohol will help us with this. We slowly clean the frame, achieving absolute cleanliness, without lumps of old glue and adhesive tape. This is especially important if you want to maintain water resistance.
If protection against water is not important, then we take the cover, align it with the case and, gently pressing along the perimeter, glue it in place.
If you need to restore protection from water, then, in addition to adhesive tape, which, most likely, will be on the new cover, it will be necessary to glue the cover around the perimeter with glue or sealant. I advise glue, as the sealant in a confined space without access to oxygen will dry for a very long time.
After the cover is glued, it is necessary to put it under oppression for a couple of hours. Do not overdo it. A big book is enough.
That's all, our phone is ready. It remains to remove from the table, and you can use the new thing.
Conclusion
In this case, I specifically showed as an example an inexpensive Chinese cover that can be bought at most parts stores, and which is also very likely to come to you from AliExpress. The difference in color from the original is striking.
Therefore, it is worth considering whether this option suits you. If it does not suit you, then you should look for other options that I wrote about at the beginning.
Pay attention to the color of the adhesive tape in the original and in Chinese. This is the easiest way to distinguish an original from a fake - in the original, scotch tape is a dense white tape with neat edges. If the adhesive tape is of a different color, you have a fake or an analogue, which can also be good, but less often.
As you can see, if you do not rush, then with due skill and patience, opening such an apparatus turns out to be a simple and exciting thing that you can do at home.
HTC flagship
The smartphone has an original design, its thickness is less than a centimeter, its height is about 15 cm. Such a phone is chosen by successful people for whom their device is not just a phone, but a collection of information: photos, important notes, music, documents and applications.
Xiaomi phones themselves are a bit different from the standards we are used to. Due to the fact that SIM cards are inserted from the side, it is not so easy to remove the back cover of the phone.
Yes, you can use a special needle tool, but it only helps to get the card slot in some Chiomi phones. Next, it’s better to stock up on a mediator, and if it’s not there, any plastic card will help in this case, it must be inserted between the case and the back cover (where the charging connector is), then all the latches must be snapped off around the perimeter:
Another way to open the back cover of a Xiaomi phone is with any suction cup that you have at home (even a DVR will do):
In order not to damage anything and safely open the cover of the Xiaomi smartphone, you need to use a special needle for such purposes, it comes with the kit and looks like this.
Now many smartphones open with such a thing, the Iphone cannot remove the sim without such a device. Just don’t do it like me, don’t take an ordinary sewing needle to open it, then the phone will “jump” a little. I opened a SIM card on an Apple device with a needle, now the SIM card often fails.
How to open the back cover on a Xiaomi smartphone?
A feature of Xiaomi phones is that it will be problematic to remove the back cover yourself, although most smartphones currently have the same feature.
You can remove the cover, but I would not remove it at home, it is better to do this procedure in services, since special equipment and experience in such work will be required. If you want to take a chance, you can open the lid with a special spatula.
If you want to open the SIM card tray, you can use the tool that comes with this smartphone.
Below is a photo of this tool.
Indeed, it is not so easy to open the back cover on a Xiaomi smartphone.
But if you need to open the back cover, then you can use a special needle (which comes with the smartphone), it is designed just for this, so that you can open the cover.
It is necessary to act very carefully, pry a special hole with a needle and open it.
Here is what this device looks like, with which you can open the back cover.
Well, why not "no how!" - after all, it was somehow assembled at the factory (or maybe in the basement)
If you just need to open the back cover of a Xiaomi Redmi (Xiaomi) or Mi Max phone, and not just insert a SIM card, then this is done very carefully. To begin with, we put forward the tray for this very SIM card, otherwise it will interfere with disassembly. Now, using a special spatula, it is necessary, starting from one corner from the screen, to slowly move the cast cover away, from the latches, and so we pass evenly around the entire perimeter, without creases and distortions. After you have passed the spatula into the circle, gently lift the back cover and unhook the cable connecting the back cover and the front panel. This is how he understands.
The phone of the Xiaomi model differs from others in its single body, so it is not possible to open the back cover.
In order to open the tray for changing the SIM card, you need to use a special needle that comes with the phone. You need to press the side of the phone into a special hole and the tray with the SIM card to extract.
In this model, there is no need to remove the battery, as it does not block access to SIM card slots.
I myself use a phone of this model, I used to think how it would be not to be able to remove the battery (it was too much we got used to removing it), but now I don’t understand why it needs to be removed. If the phone is good, with a capacitive battery, then the battery will not overheat and you do not need to remove it.
Of course, if desired, it can be opened using a sharp nail file, but it is better not to do this.
Of course, you can try to open the back cover (like me), a female iron nail file is suitable for this, thin, faked the latches, but you can damage or scratch the Xiaomi phone, but not a fact, I opened it and nothing happened to it, I did what I needed manipulations, but the lid was difficult to open, and I do not recommend this method.

How it's done
It is important not to use brute force when disassembling a smartphone. Otherwise, this can lead to negative consequences: most likely the smartphone will not perform its functions.
Also, dents, scratches or other damage may appear on the body of the device, interfering with its normal operation and pretty spoiling the appearance.
Therefore, when disassembling the Samsung A3, strictly follow the instructions below.
- Find where the smartphone's speaker is.
- You will see a small notch (click) above the speaker (from the end). With its help, the cover is removed.
- Do not lift the cover abruptly, otherwise you may damage the back panel. You can simply fasten it with your fingernail and gently pull it away from the device. Don't worry - it won't break. Never use sharp objects!
The back cover is open!
How to open the cover of Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A3 mini
To open the lid, specialists, in addition to the above tools, use a specialized hair dryer to heat it up.
It is quite difficult to do this procedure at home. After all, you have to warm up the edges around the perimeter in your smartphone.
The phone is monolithic, so it is important to warm it up at a temperature of no more than 150 degrees (use a regular hair dryer for this).
After warming up, gently pry off the cover with a sharpened plastic card, snapping the screen off the case. That's it - access to the internal modules is open!
If your goal is to completely disassemble the phone, then you need to carefully read the instructions for complete disassembly. Inserting the cover is also easy - follow the steps in the opposite order.
If you know any other ways on how to remove the cover from the Samsung Galaxy A3, share them in the comments. If you have any questions - ask, I will be happy to answer all.
For many owners of the BQ Strike smartphone, the question of how to remove the back cover of the device has become a real problem. Those who have never manually removed the back panel do not understand how to do it correctly and accurately without damaging the plastic or the display, and try to use various tools at hand, such as scissors, credit cards or knives. But you should not do this - removing the cover on the BQ 5020 Strike phone is as easy as shelling pears with your own hands. Today we will tell you how to do it right. Also watch the tutorial video at the end of the article.
Why you need to open your smartphone
The simplest and important reason is the installation of a SIM card in a new, just bought gadget, as well as the installation or replacement of an SD memory card, which is provided in almost every Strike BQs phone. micro-SD card allows you to expand the volume internal memory another 128 GB, which is undoubtedly a plus.
Many smartphone owners reboot a frozen device by pulling out and reinstalling the gadget's battery. Also, the user may need to open the cover to replace an obsolete or non-working battery with a new one. In addition, if you started an independent repair or replacement of parts in the gadget, you will not get close to the insides of the phone without removing the back panel.
So let's take a look detailed algorithm actions, with which you can open your BQ phone and see what is inside it.
Action algorithm
First, take a look at your smartphone. On its upper end, to the right of the micro-USB connector, you will see a small notch, as if created so that the cover can be pry off. Gently insert your fingernail into this recess and slide it to the left, walking along the part where the plastic case fits snugly against the glass of the smartphone's display. If you are unable to do this, while moving along the case with your free hand, lightly squeeze it on the sides so that the plastic bends and allows you to perform actions to open the lid. Next, gently run your fingernail along the entire perimeter of the smartphone several times, thereby opening the cover of the device. The plastic panel may crackle slightly when opened, and do not worry - this is normal. Open the lid of the BQs 5020 Strike once, and in the future you will easily do this operation again and again.
How to close the lid back
It's even easier here - you don't even need your nails. Take your smartphone and put it in a plastic case. Carefully make sure that all elements, such as buttons and a camera, line up with the slots on the cover. Lightly press the phone against the case and walk around its entire perimeter in this way. You will hear characteristic clicks. Ready! Now you know how to open the cover of a BQ smartphone without damaging the case and screen. If something is not clear, watch a special training video.
